Explore the joys of improvisation at Expatimprov's weekend workshops in Düsseldorf.

Whether you're an experienced actor, a seasoned improviser, or a complete beginner, our fun and pressure-free classes are open to all levels. No prior experience is needed; everyone who speaks English is welcome to join.

The improv workshops mostly fill up quickly we recommend to secure your spot and pay online.

Regular participants have the option to pay at the workshop using either card or cash by requesting a reservation. Newcomers can choose to book and pay online or opt for a wire transfer, paying in advance after requesting a reservation.

Join us for four hours of laughter, spontaneous joy and the chance to boost your confidence while releasing stress. Unleash your creativity, make connections, step out of your comfort zone, gain confidence, embrace openness and positivity, and have a lot of fun!


Workshops are priced at 30€ for a 4 hour session and 50€ for two days (8 hours). Our aim is to provide a supportive, safe and non-judgmental environment to explore the basics of improvisation. Topics covered include dynamic games, character development, narrative creation, scene initiation, storytelling techniques, overcoming mental barriers, short form games, free improvisation and more.


The workshop is conducted in plain English in a positive and safe, non-judgmental space.


You don't need to bring or wear anything special, but we recommend comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement.

Feel free to bring your own drinks and / or some snacks.

The venue is conveniently located in Unterbilk, with some free parking available outside the building for those arriving by car.

Directions to the Expatimprov Room

Public Transport
- S-Bahn Lines S8, S11, S28: Alight at Völklinger Straße station, which is a 2-minute walk away.
- Tram Lines 704 & 709: Alight at Völklinger Straße station, which is a 2-minute walk away.

By Car: Drive onto the premises of the "ALTE LIESEGANG FABRIK". Parking is available in the front area near the entrance. Please ensure you use the designated parking spaces.

The Expatimprov Room is located at the rear of the premises. From the main parking area, walk past the "Taste Greece Lagerverkauf" and follow the passageway to a small courtyard at the far end of the complex.
In the courtyard, you'll find the entrance to Stairwell 5 (Treppenhaus 5) . 


The Expatimprov Room is on the first floor, on the left-hand side.
